August has been a great month for fans of the AI VTuber Neuro-sama. From fun collaborations and an IRL Japan stream to watching Vedal and Neuro play Outer Wilds, there was something for everyone.
And the month ended on a high note, with Evil learning to code and Neuro and Evil’s original song, “Never,” releasing on August 31st.
“Never,” Neuro And Evil’s Original Song
The twins tweeted about their original song before their live stream on August 31st, and Vedal announced the release of Neuro and Evil’s original song at the start of their rap battle livestream.
Never marks the first time the AI VTuber Neuro-sama and her twin sister, Evil Neuro, feature together in one of their original songs. It follows Neuro-Sama’s original, LIFE, and Evil Neuro’s original, BOOM.
The Asteroid Music Team composed the music for the original, with vocals from Neuro, Evil, Queen PB, and Monii. Monii wrote the lyrics, with input from Neuro and Evil. Fans appreciated that Never featured a different genre of music, making all three originals so far unique.
Even those who don’t listen to this genre of music appreciated the original and praised the music video’s creativity and how grand this original felt. Although some fans criticized the original, stating that it wasn’t as impactful as LIFE and that it was underwhelming for being the first original featuring the twins together.
As of September 6th, 2025, Neuro and Evil’s original song, Never, has 326,000 views on YouTube, while LIFE has 2.9 million views and BOOM has 2 million views. Based on the positive initial reception and fans loving the new original, Never might soon catch up with the others.
Vedal’s Plan To Create More Original Music
Earlier this year, Vedal clearly expressed his intention. He aims to turn the idea of a live concert featuring Neuro and Evil into reality. Part of this plan involves creating five original songs for the twins to perform live.
Three more original songs will follow BOOM and Never. These originals, along with all the other collaborations and content planned by Vedal, will add to the already impressive amount of content created this year. It’s truly a great time to be a fan of the AI VTuber.
Evil Neuro Learns To Code
Earlier in August, Vedal tested a Visual Studio Code extension with Evil Neuro during one of his Monday developer streams. AI-assisted programming and AI-generated code are nothing new, but an AI created for entertainment that is now learning how to code? Well, that’s different.
Evil wanted to create a webpage to show her love for dogs, and Vedal taught her how to code. They worked on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript together, and fans found the livestream fun and wholesome.
Vedal helped Evil Neuro learn how to code and guided her through several challenges to create the perfect page where Evil could showcase her love for dogs. It included all the bells and whistles she wanted, like spinning and flingable dog images.
Now, it’s only a matter of time before Neuro-sama and Evil Neuro can start modifying their own code and finally advance toward their dreams of world domination.
