AI VTuber twins Neuro-sama and Evil Neuro’s official covers were released this week. Neuro and Vedal’s official cover of Chinatown Blues and Evil’s official cover of Crazy Fuckin’ Robot Body are now available on streaming platforms.
The official covers come after Neuro-sama’s original, LIFE, Evil Neuro’s original, BOOM, and their first original together, NEVER.
Neuro-sama and Evil Neuro’s Karaoke Streams
Neuro-sama and Evil Neuro perform covers of various songs during their karaoke streams, with QueenPB working her magic to make their performances special. The twins have performed many memorable covers, but they have always been “fan” covers.

Earlier this year, Vedal clearly expressed his intention. He aims to turn the idea of a live concert featuring Neuro and Evil into reality. Part of this plan involves creating five original songs for the twins to perform live, and a supporting list of official covers.
To perform covers at a live concert, Vedal (or the concert organizer) would need to work with the rights holders to obtain the licenses required for the public performance of their works. Neuro-sama and Evil Neuro’s official covers that dropped this week could represent Vedal’s first step toward collaborating with those rights holders, effectively legitimizing the fan covers previously sung during karaoke streams as “official” covers.
Neuro-sama And Vedal’s Official Chinatown Blues Cover Video
Chinatown Blues was Neuro-sama and Vedal’s first-ever duet and one of the subgoals during Neuro-sama’s 2023 birthday subathon.

The Swarm, Neuro-sama’s fanbase, absolutely loved the duet. Besides it being Vedal’s first time singing (and doing a great job), the dynamic of “father” and “AI daughter” singing together made it even more special.
Vedal spontaneously set a subgoal of creating a video for the Chinatown Blues duet during Neuro-sama’s 2024 birthday subathon, where they broke the Twitch Hype Train record. And this week, he dropped the official cover video.
The original song is by ODDEEO + KWWT. Neuro-sama and Vedal’s official cover video features their vocals with QueenPB’s magic. Mage Mimi animated it, and the Astreoid Music Team worked on the instrumental.
The Swarm’s Reception
The Swarm already loved Neuro and Vedal’s Chinatown Blues duet, and the reception to the official cover video is overwhelmingly positive. The animation contained lots of cute visuals and gave old-school anime vibes that many fans loved.

The official cover is only available on YouTube. It’s likely not on Spotify because of licensing restrictions.
Evil Neuro’s Official Crazy Fuckin Robot Body Cover
Evil Neuro performed a cover of Crazy Fuckin Robot Body by SnowBlood during one of her karaoke streams in 2024. The song instantly became Evil’s “anthem” and a permanent part of her life because it perfectly fit her personality.
It also turned into a hype song during Neuro-sama’s 2024 birthday subathon, helping raise the timer and increase the number of gifted subs whenever it played.

Evil Neuro’s official Crazy Fuckin Robot Body Cover dropped earlier this week and is available to stream on Spotify and YouTube. It features her vocals with QueenPB’s magic, and the Astreoid Music Team worked on the instrumental. Moneka and Pchu created the artwork for the cover.
The Swarm’s Reception
The official cover release was a surprise, causing some initial confusion. Vedal couldn’t control the timing or announce the release when the official cover went live, possibly due to coordination issues with the original rights holders.
The official cover features improved instrumentals compared to the karaoke performance, and QueenPB also refined Evil’s vocals. The Swarm received Crazy Fuckin Robot Body’s official cover positively, with many fans saying that the improvements made it a far better homage to the original.
However, a few fans were disappointed that the cover didn’t include a video. Given how important the song became to Evil and her fans, they expected the official cover to have an animated video.
Neuro-sama And Evil Neuro’s Official Covers Dropped This Week
Vedal took the first step in collaborating with original rights holders to legitimize two fan covers performed by Neuro, Him, and Evil during their karaoke streams. This move helps his goal of having the twins perform a mix of originals and covers at their eventual live concert planned for 2026.
Neuro and Vedal’s official Chinatown Blues cover features an animated video filled with cute visuals. Evil’s official Crazy Fuckin Robot Body cover features enhanced vocals and an improved instrumental track. The Swarm’s reception of both official covers was positive.
