The service also lets you create or use existing lorebooks, regardless of whether your frontend has native support for the feature, so that you can build a larger, interconnected narrative world.
How Does Sophia’s LoreBary Work?
Sophia’s LoreBary primarily functions as a proxy to connect with various LLM providers and use the models they offer on JanitorAI or any other frontend that allows you to “bring your own models.”
It injects prompts based on your configuration of commands, plugins, and lorebooks to enhance your roleplay experience. The service also adds formatting to the LLM’s response, if configured, before returning the response to you.

What About Privacy?
Sophia’s LoreBary does not provide inference. It routes your requests to the provider of your choice. If you’re using paid services, you need to make payments directly to your provider. You create and manage your API keys through your provider. LoreBary does not have access to or store your API keys.
Additionally, according to the service’s Privacy Policy, it does not collect, store, or have access to chat messages or prompts you send to AI providers, or to the AI-generated responses you receive.
Sophia’s LoreBary uses third-party AI content moderation tools to help identify prohibited content published on its website (such as characters, lorebooks, etc.).
